John Lyon was born in 1748 (exact date unknown) to parents Roger, Sr. and Mary Willson. Roger Sr. allowed his home to be used as a milita headquaters and they even hosted General George Washington there.
John was an enlisted man in the 2nd Regiment, Westchester County Milita, New York during the American Revolution. No further information available on his service or post-war life.
