Old Quaker Burial Ground

The Quakers (Religious Society of Friends) were prominent in North Castle.  Their meetinghouse was on old Cox Avenue just north of the Sands (Wright’s) Mill historic site.  The Quaker cemetery is about one mile from the original meetinghouse site.  It is situated on the top of a hill above Byram Lake Road surrounded by wetlands.  The right-of-way is from Perry Court crossing Smith’s Brook.
